Marketa Krueger has been passionate about movement from a very young age.
At the age of 10, she was selected to a special school for athletes in the Czech Republic. She also loved dancing and aerobic classes. Migrated to Australia in 1996 and in 1999 became an Aerobic and Aqua Instructor.
In 2001 completed her first Pilates Mat qualification and in 2003 gained further knowledge in anatomy by completing a Diploma in Sport Massage Therapy and in the same year completed STOTT Pilates L-2.
Since 2005 works as a Pilates, Aerobic, Aqua Instructor and a Personal Trainer in the Southern Highlands and 2008 completed Certificate IV in Fitness Pilates (91313NSW).
After completing this course, decided to deepen her knowledge in rehabilitation in order to help people with injuries and has completed first year at Wollongong UNI in Anatomy, which she followed up by completing her Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction (10537NAT) at Pilates International Training Centre (PITC).
Marketa approaches exercise as a method of healing, developed from her training as a massage therapist and building on the philosophy of the Pilates Method founder Joseph Pilates of using movement for rehabilitation.
Yoga Instructor, Naturopath and Bowen practitioner
Steven Harris is a Yoga Teacher and a Naturopath. He ‘accidently’ wandered into a Yoga class 30 years ago at Sydney University and has been fascinated and captivated by Yoga ever since. He has taught in the Southern Highlands for more than 20 years.
For over 21 years Steve has also utilised the Bowen Technique in his Naturopathic Practice.
Originally he studied The Bowen Technique as a safe and gentle form of body work to compliment his healing work. He is now continually amazed at the results from such a simple gentle therapy, which fits well with the Naturopathic Philosophy of treating the whole person.
